Mortgage fraud probes underway: Hundreds indicted

Though some insist on the Roman maxim, “let the buyer beware,” even most libertarians allow government the legitimate role of punishing material deception, after the face.

But that’s not the same thing, and does nowhere near as much good for the consumer, as working to prevent it with regulation.

But regulation gets in the way of those fast talkers in power suits who want to rack up their first million by age 30, you see.
