Don’t Rush Into Anything!

This is the real Axis of Evil: The White House, the Republican Party, and Wall Street.

The White House is pushing a terrible sense of urgency in order to stampede the Congress into panic, preventing them from taking the time for review and consideration of alternatives.

The White House does not want anybody considering any stinking alternatives.

Neither do the bankers and markets that are slavering at the thought of a 7 or 8 hundred billion dollar gift.

Fuck those bastards.

Any Congress willing to be shaken down like that for nearly a trillion dollars of our money ought to be overrun and massacred by rioting sans culottes.

Of course, that would only be a side trip for the crowd on the way to the White House.

Mallaby: This Deal Stinks

By late in the day yesterday rebellion had broken out even among moderates like MY.

Part of it was the raw, unchallengeable power the White House had the balls to demand.

Part of it was the idea of a 7 or 8 hundred billion dollar raid on the taxpayers to gift the stooges responsible, making banks and corporations and rich people richer by pillaging the rest of us.

Part of it was the realization this was not only a boondoggle to transfer huge amounts of wealth upward, but also a devastating blow to Obama’s progressive agenda.

Like Matt, people seem to be bouncing from one thing to another, hunting through alternatives to GW’s plan to rob the poor to give to the rich.

Just like him and his cronies to immediately seize the opportunity to attack the government and the taxpayers and the Democrats, steal a trillion dollars for the big guys, and demand total immunity from any eventual legal review of what he and his guys do.

My suggestion of the guillotine is still on the table.
